Types of Helical Pile Design
Time:2024-09-18

Square bar shaft pipe

Square shafts are solid and can handle large axial compressive loads.

Bar shafts are continuous at every extension. It will transfer the load all the way to the end of the pile.

Square shaft extensions can also be used for various tensioning operations.

Bar square shafts are usually available in various sizes such as 1.5'', 1.75'' and 2'', etc.

Round shaft pipe

Round shaft screw piles, which can be considered in screw pile foundation details, have a wider diameter than square shaft piles. This design usually affects the overall screw pile cost.

The wider cross section provides better structural capacity such as large moments, lateral loads or buckling.

Round shaft sizes are usually available in 2.875'', 3.5'', 3.0'', 4.5'' and 5.5'', etc.

We can make both of the above two styles of helicals and have been supplying them to customers and their projects all over the world. In addition to the above two styles of helicals, we have also made many other styles and designs of helicals, such as the bottom of the helical is made flat instead of beveled, there are patches welded inside the tube, there are shear lugs welded on the tube wall, etc. In addition to the product appearance can be customized according to customer requirements, the surface treatment is also possible, such as bare steel, galvanized, powder coated or even painted, etc. Any color is optional.
